Master Hitpoints
Hitpoints grows alongside damage-dealing combat and increases how much damage you can survive. You do not select a separate Hitpoints attack style.
World 1: 50× normal XP. World 2: 100× normal XP. Reference values below show base XP and the normal world-scaled amount, before any activity-specific modifiers.
Before you begin
- Food and combat equipment
- A combat style you also want to train
- Targets appropriate to your offensive and defensive levels

Your training route
From first steps to masteryThese level bands are recommendations, not extra unlock requirements. Where an option unlocks partway through a band, keep using the earlier method until you reach it.
- Levels10–30
Train your first combat skills
Kill ordinary Lumbridge creatures while developing Attack, Strength, Ranged or Magic. Food is your safety net; do not wait until your last hitpoint to eat.
- Levels30–50
Sustained low-risk combat
Move to hill giants, rock crabs or accessible Slayer tasks. Reliable damage builds Hitpoints alongside your chosen combat skill.
- Levels50–70
Combine training with Slayer
Pick a master you qualify for and carry the protection items each task needs. Improve your armour and Prayer so trips last longer.
- Levels70–90
Longer trips and stronger targets
Keep fighting rather than repeatedly travelling for supplies. Mix routine training with boss encounters only when your gear and knowledge are ready.
- Levels90–99
Continue damage-based training
Hitpoints will follow your combat activity. If you trained Magic through utility spells, you may need extra damage-dealing combat to catch Hitpoints up.
Field notes
- Utility Magic such as alchemy does not deal damage and therefore is not a substitute for Hitpoints training.
- High Hitpoints does not replace protection prayers, dragonfire protection or boss mechanics.
- Familiar damage is handled separately; do not plan your own Hitpoints progress around a familiar doing all the fighting.
