Your first adventure

Getting Started

From your first login to your first boss. Find your feet in Serenity.

Create your account

Choose Play in browser or download the Windows client. The desktop launcher keeps your game client up to date. Browser players can choose Standard or High detail before selecting a world.

World 1 · Serenity

A classic adventure with 50× normal skill XP and the custom Bossing skill.

World 2 · Serenity PVP

A PvP adventure with 100× normal skill XP and the custom PVP skill. Blue boundaries mark safe zones.

  1. Select the world you want to play on in the client.
  2. Choose Create Account on the login screen and follow the account creation prompts. Choose an available username and a strong, unique password.
  3. Return to Log In and enter your new details on that same world.
  4. Complete Tutorial Island and choose your account mode when prompted. Regular and ironman modes are available on both worlds.

Each world has separate accounts and progress. The same username on the other world may belong to a different person. Always check the world when logging in, voting or buying credits.

Your first steps

Finish the tutorial before using Serenity’s travel menu. Your world’s normal XP rate is automatic; there is no XP-rate selection to make.

Start with familiar gathering and combat skills, bank your supplies, and use quests to explore. Click a skill in the Skills tab to read its guide. The quest guides, monster archive and item archive can help you plan your next goal.

On World 2, stay inside a safe zone while preparing. Outside safe zones, other players may attack you and your items can be at risk. A teleport destination being useful does not make it safe on a PvP world.

Getting around

  1. Type ::tp into game chat to open the teleport menu.
  2. Choose a category across the top: Cities, Bosses, Monsters, Minigames or Misc.
  3. Scroll through the destinations on the left. Select one to read its description and access information on the right.
  4. Press Teleport when you are ready. Read any Wilderness warning before confirming.

Your spellbook’s Home Teleport also offers a choice between returning to Lumbridge and opening the teleport menu. World 1 additionally has city travel NPCs in major towns.

Travel does not bypass combat, teleblock, quest or Slayer restrictions. Some destinations leave you outside an entrance so you can prepare before entering.

Serenity’s new skills

Bossing · World 1

Defeat supported bosses to earn Bossing XP. Harder bosses award more XP; this skill uses its own fixed rewards rather than the normal 50× multiplier.

Click Bossing beneath Construction in the Skills tab to browse Boss Perks, Weapon Perks, Special Perks and equipment. Unlocks apply at their listed levels; combat benefits focus on collection-log bosses.

At level 85, eligible collection-log boss rewards can include the scythe of vitur, Justiciar armour and scythe ornament kits. Barrows bonus rewards come from its chest. These are rare rewards, not guaranteed unlock gifts.

At 99, visit the Bossing master in Lumbridge to buy the cape and hood for 99,000 coins. Bring two free inventory spaces.

PVP · World 2

Earn PVP XP when you receive credit for killing another player. XP per kill increases at higher PVP levels; streaks are not required for skill XP.

Click PVP beneath Construction to see its guide and milestones. Higher levels also improve the PK-point bonus on eligible kills. PK points have their own anti-farming checks, separate from skill XP.

Spend earned PK points at the PK supplies NPCs in Lumbridge Castle courtyard, Varrock Square and the Grand Exchange.

At 99, visit the PVP master in Lumbridge for the cape and hood. Bring 99,000 coins and two free inventory spaces.

Bossing is exclusive to World 1. PVP is exclusive to World 2. Level-up messages and flashing skill icons help you spot new unlocks; click the skill to read them.

Make every adventure count

Use ::cl to open your collection log. Browse boss and minigame rewards, including clue rewards, and watch your collection fill as you obtain new entries. First-time entries trigger a notification.

Use ::titles to browse unlockable titles, inspect their requirements and equip or remove one. Check the highscores for your world and account mode; player profiles also show collection progress, boss kills and other tracked achievements.

Examine a supported NPC to browse its drops before choosing your next target.

Vote & bring home rewards

  1. Open the Vote page, choose your world and enter your existing character’s username.
  2. Choose RuLocus, TopG or RSPS-List and complete that site’s vote in the new tab. You can use all three sites for separate rewards.
  3. After the voting site verifies the vote, log into the selected world. 1,000,000 coins and one antique XP lamp are delivered to your bank.

The lamp lets you choose a skill at level 50 or higher. It awards 15,000 base XP with your world’s usual XP rate. Both rewards are available to ironman accounts too.

If the world is offline or your bank is full, your rewards wait. RuLocus and TopG each use their own 12-hour window; RSPS-List uses its noon/midnight reset. Successful votes on all three sites earn 3,000,000 coins and three lamps in total. Completing a page visit alone does not count as a verified vote.

Credits & in-game shops

  1. Visit the website shop and select the world you are purchasing for.
  2. Enter your existing username on that world, choose a credit package and complete PayPal checkout.
  3. Once payment is confirmed, log into that world to receive your credits. All ironman modes can receive purchased credits.
  4. In game, type ::shop for the original credit shop or ::shop 2 for the additional shop. Read each offer before purchasing.

Shop 2 includes supply packs, a Barrows box, a random quest completion and the mass mystery box. The mass mystery box rewards online players in the purchasing world, including its buyer; its random pool excludes quest completion.

Buying credits is tied to the exact character and world selected at checkout. PK points are a separate in-game currency and are not website credits.
