Animal Magnetism
Talk to Ava in Draynor Manor (upstairs).
What to bring
- Ghostspeak amulet and 20 ecto-tokens (worship at the Ectofuntus in Port Phasmatys).
- 5 iron bars and a hammer.
- A mithril axe and a holy symbol of Saradomin.
- Polished buttons (H.A.M. members drop them) and hard leather.
Item pictures link to the archive. Read the list above for quantities, alternatives and anything gathered along the way.
Good to know
The witch needs 5 iron bars, not just the selected bar returned to you. At completion, Ava gives one device based on your Ranged level: an attractor below 50, or an accumulator from level 50.
The walkthrough
Follow the story from start to finish.
Begin the adventure
Talk to Ava. She wants two undead chickens for her research.
Continue the journey
Go to the farm east of Port Phasmatys. Alice is alive and her husband is a ghost; wear the ghostspeak amulet and help them talk to each other.
Continue the adventure
The old crone, who lives a bit west of the mad professor's castle, binds Alice's hair to your amulet so the husband can understand his wife.
Gather the supplies
Buy two undead chickens from Alice's husband for 10 ecto-tokens each, and give one to Ava.
Undead twigs
normal axes bounce off the undead trees near the manor. Give a mithril axe and a holy symbol of Saradomin to Turael, the Slayer master in Burthorpe, for a blessed axe, then cut some twigs.
Ava gives you research notes. Translate them
click the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th symbols once, and leave the 2nd, 5th and 9th untouched. Give her the translated notes.
Finish the quest
Combine her pattern with the polished buttons and the hard leather to make the container, and give it to Ava.
Your rewards
- 1 Quest Point
- Ava's attractor: it collects your arrows and creates new ones (Ava replaces it for about 1,000 coins; with 50 Ranged, give her 75 steel arrows to upgrade it)
Base experience is shown. Your world's experience rates may affect the amount received.
