The walkthrough
Follow the story from start to finish.
Begin the adventure
Talk to Bert. He found a hand in the sand and gives it to you.
Gather the supplies
Buy a cheap beer at the Dragon Inn, south of the sandpit, and give it to the Guard Captain there. Then ring the bell at the Wizards' Guild and show the hand to Zavistic Rarve.
Continue the adventure
Get Bert's copy of the rota. In the Sand Corp office in Brimhaven, distract Sandy (tell him a parrot with a pink banana is outside his window) and search his desk for his rota.
Continue the adventure
Zavistic sends you to Betty in Port Sarim for a truth serum. Give her an empty vial; she gives you a bottle.
Continue the adventure
Put redberries in the bottle to make redberry juice, add white berries to make pink dye, then use the dye on a bullseye lens to make a rose-tinted lens.
Continue the adventure
Stand in Betty's open doorway and use the lens on the vial on her counter: she makes the truth serum. Pickpocket Sandy for some sand and add it to the serum.
Continue the adventure
Distract Sandy again and pour the serum into his coffee mug. Activate the magical scrying orb from Zavistic, then ask Sandy all the questions: he confesses.
Make the exchange
Give the orb to Zavistic, then bring him 5 earth runes and a bucket of sand: he enchants the sandpit to refill itself.
Finish the quest
Visit the sandpit on Entrana and ask the worker about wizard remains. Bring the wizard's head back to Zavistic.
