The walkthrough
Follow the story from start to finish.
Begin the adventure
Talk to Brundt. You need the votes of seven members of the council of elders. Each one sets a trial.
Manni the Reveller
a drinking contest.
Make the exchange
Give a beer to the council workman for a strange object, buy a low alcohol keg from the poison salesman in Seers' Village, and pick up the keg of beer on the longhall table.
Continue the adventure
Light the strange object and put it in the pipe as a distraction, mix the two kegs, then drink against Manni.
Olaf the Bard
play a song on stage.
Prepare the materials
Cut a branch from the swaying tree, carve it into an unstrung lyre (40 Crafting).
Make the exchange
Give Lalli the troll a stew (onion, potato, cabbage and the pet rock from Askeladden) for golden fleece, spin it into golden wool and string the lyre.
Continue the adventure
Offer a raw fish at the Fossegrimen shrine to enchant it, then perform in the longhall.
Sigli the Huntsman
Sigli gives you a hunter's talisman. Follow it to the Draugen, kill it and bring the charged talisman back.
Swensen the Navigator
accept his trial and descend below his house. Take the portals in this order: south, west, east, north, south, east, north. The directions spell SWENSEN. Climb the ladder and speak to Swensen for his vote.
Peer: the riddle door
Let Peer bank your items and equipment, then enter through the western door. Solve the riddle: LIFE is the thing stolen that causes death; MIND is your most powerful tool; TIME destroys civilisations; WIND helps bread, birds and boats.
Continue the adventure
Upstairs, search the cupboard for the five-unit bucket and the chest for the three-unit jug.
Continue the adventure
Fill the bucket at the tap and pour it into the jug, leaving two in the bucket.
Continue the adventure
Empty the jug into the drain.
Continue the adventure
Pour the remaining two into the jug, refill the bucket, then pour just enough into the jug to fill it.
Continue the adventure
The bucket now holds four units.
Put your supplies to use
Use it on the balance chest to obtain a vase.
Search for clues
Search the bookcase for a red herring.
Continue the adventure
Study the bull head for a wooden disk and the unicorn head for an old red disk.
Prepare the supplies
Cook the red herring on the range to make sticky red goop, then use the goop on the wooden disk to colour it red.
Continue the adventure
Fit both red disks into the mural to obtain the vase lid.
Continue the adventure
Fill the vase at the tap and use the lid on it.
Continue the adventure
Put the sealed vase of water on the frozen table.
Continue the adventure
The expanding ice shatters it and leaves a frozen key.
Put your supplies to use
Use the frozen key on the cooking range to obtain the seer's key.
Continue the journey
Go down the eastern ladder and open the east door with it to earn Peer's vote.
Thorvald the Warrior
bank your equipment with Peer, then enter the cellar of the helmet shop without weapons or armour.
Face the challenge
Defeat Koschei three times and stay for the fourth fight.
Continue the adventure
Surviving the first three forms is enough; do not climb the ladder before the fourth fight concludes.
Speak to Thorvald to claim his vote
Speak to Thorvald to claim his vote.
Continue the adventure
Sigmund the Merchant wants the sailor's exotic flower.

Askeladden writes a promissory note, Thora trades it for the legendary cocktail, Manni for the champion's token, Thorvald for the warrior's contract, Peer for the weather forecast, Swensen for the sea fishing map, the fisherman for the unusual fish, Skulgrimen for the custom bow string, Sigli for the tracking map, Brundt for the fiscal statement, Yrsa for the sturdy boots, Olaf for the love ballad, and the sailor for the flower.
